  • Operation Hours: The Manakamana cable car typically operates from around 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (check current timings before travel).
  • Safety: Follow staff instructions and avoid leaning out of the cabin; photography is allowed but hold your camera securely.

Temple Visit Tips

  • Dress Respectfully: Since Manakamana is a sacred Hindu site, wear modest clothing (no shorts or sleeveless tops).

Reach the base station of the Manakamana Cable Car, one of Nepal’s first and most famous cable cars. Purchase your ticket and prepare for a stunning ride.

Enjoy panoramic views of the Trishuli River, green hills, and villages as you ascend

  • Visit the sacred Manakamana Temple, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati. Explore the traditional bazaar area around the temple, where you can find local crafts, souvenirs, and offerings.
  • Option for a traditional puja (worship ceremony).
