Dolakha Bhimsen temple is located 4.5km East of Charikot, and is renowned for its amusing mysteries and facts. The temple is connected with the legend of Mahabharata, and the temple’s name is therefore derived from one of the five Pandavas Bhimsen. According to legend, the Pandavas lived at Dolakha while they were in exile. 

There are other such tales that describe the enigmatic events connected to the miraculous stone known as Bhimsen’s stone and worshiped inside the temple. The shikhar style architectured temple is uniquely hollow in the center and houses a triangular stone. It is said that when the country is about to face any danger, the stone prespirates. So sweating of the stone is considered as the harbinger of remorse or catastrophe.

Brief Description

Early morning you’ll be picked up from the hotel and driven to Dolakha Bhimsen. The drive through the winding lane enjoying the view of terraced farms will lead you to the ancient temple of Dolakha Bhimen. After visiting the temple, enjoying the unique architecture of the temple,  get back to your comfortable hotel.

After spending a memorable night in Dolakha, drive back to Kathmandu.
