Overview

In this trip you will experience the fertile plains of the Terai region of Nepal. As Bhairahawa is very close from Lumbini, you can rejuvenate yourself by taking a spiritual tour of the Birth Place of Siddhartha Gautam Buddha. There are major places to see around Lumbini which includes, Devdaha where Mother Maya Devi, mother of Lord Buddha was born, similarly, Kapilvastu the ancient Kingdom of the Shakyas can also be visited. After visiting the sacred city of Lumbini, you will travel towards Pokhara also known as ‘the city of lakes’. The city which is famous for its lakes and mountain views, a paradise for many travelers and also offers various adventure sports including paragliding, bungee jumping, ultra-light flights and zip line, including many other adventurous sports. Apart from that you can witness natural wonders like, caves that attract thousands of visitors every year.

Itinerary

You will either arrive via air or road depending on the type of the package chosen by you. Our representative will meet and greet you at the airport or at the Bus stop in Bhairahawa. You will be escorted to the designated hotel for a rest and in the evening you can see around on your own or ask the guide to take you around.

After breakfast, you will take a tour around Bhairahawa City. Rickshaw rides can be exciting to go around in the city which allows to experience the colorful market. After having a look around Bhairahawa, Lumbini is the go to place where you can see the ancient Kingdom of the Shakyas and the birth place of Lord Buddha. After touring around major sites in Lumbini, you will return back to Bhairahawa for a restful evening.

After breakfast, you will either drive or fly to Pokhara. Driving takes about 6 to 7 hours, and flying takes about 45 minutes. The rest of your time will be spent visiting Phewa/Fewa Lake and boating around there.

Today is the most important day of your tour because you will be visiting Sarangkot, a popular viewing point for the Himalayas. You will drive to Sarangkot early in the morning to see the magnificent Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Himchuli, Manaslu, and many others. You will return to the hotel for breakfast after spending a couple of hours in Sarangkot. After some rest, you'll go sightseeing in Pokhara. Phewa/Fewa Lake, Begnas Lake, Mahendra Cave, Seti River Gorge, Barahi Temple, Mountain Museum, World Peace Pagoda, and other popular attractions will be visited.

After breakfast, you will drive or fly back to Bhairahawa if you are returning to India via border and visit the remaining attractions in Bhairahawa and stay overnight. If you wish to fly to your onwards destination, you will board an early flight to Kathmandu. After arrival in Kathmandu, you will visit various heritages listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You will either drive back to Bhairahawa early in the morning if you want to return via roadways or after breakfast, you will board an airplane which will fly you to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be seen-off by our representative through the airport to Kathmandu for your international Departure. For Indian citizens, returning to India via road way is a better option as public bus or private vehicle can be easily accessible and also Bhairahawa is close to the Indian Border.

If you have enough time you can extend your stay in Nepal by taking a trip to Chitwan. In this extended trip you will experience an exquisite and varied diversity of flora and fauna. In the Chitwan National Park, canoe riding will be done where you can see variety of birds and reptiles which will be a unique experience for you. Apart from that, you will be able to witness the peculiar lifestyle of the Tharu Community of Chitwan.

If you are free and have enough leisurely time, you can extend the trip by visiting Kathmandu which is known as ‘city of temples’. In Kathmandu you will witness ancient Newari architectures and visit the holy Pashupatinath Temple. The Swayambhunath Stupa also called ‘the monkey temple’, can be another place which is a must visit. Other than that, you can see many historical and architectural monuments that has been listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites before you leave the beautiful land of Buddha.
